Accounting you can
actually close.
Outgrowing Tally or Zoho Books? Books is double-entry bookkeeping built for Indian businesses: GST that splits itself, a bank reconciliation that finds the difference, and payroll and TDS that come out of the same ledger as everything else.

45
built-in reports, from trial balance to cash flow, every one exportable
CGST · SGST · IGST
decided from the GSTIN on the document, not from a dropdown
Multi-GSTIN
several registrations, several centres, one set of books
23 languages
including Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Hindi
What it does
One ledger. Every module posts into it, so the balance sheet is never a separate spreadsheet that quietly disagrees.
Accounting that closes
Double-entry vouchers, a real trial balance, and a balance sheet that balances. Every figure traces back to a voucher.
GST, not a spreadsheet
CGST/SGST or IGST decided from the GSTIN on the document. GSTR-1, 3B and 9 worksheets, e-invoicing and e-way bills.
Banking that reconciles
Upload a statement, match it against your vouchers, and clear the difference. Uncategorised lines stay visible until dealt with.
Inventory with real costing
FIFO and weighted-average costing, stock transfers between locations, and a valuation you can defend.
Payroll and TDS
PF, ESI, professional tax and TDS computed per employee, with payslips and Form 16 built from the same ledger.
45 reports, all exportable
Trial balance to cash flow to ageing. Every one exports to CSV, TSV or Excel with the period you were looking at.
Who it is for
Indian businesses that file GST, run a bank account someone else has to reconcile, and are still doing it in a spreadsheet. If you are a sole trader, the free tier does the filing and the ledger. If you have staff, a stock room or more than one GSTIN, the paid tiers add payroll, inventory and multi-registration bookkeeping.
It is not a billing tool for freelancers and it is not a warehouse system. It is the bookkeeping, and it tries to be right.
How we handle your data
- Your books, your machine. Books can run entirely on your own computer, with the file encrypted at rest. Nothing leaves it.
- No passwords. Sign-in is a single-use emailed link or a passkey. There is no password for us to lose or for you to reset.
- An activity log you can check. Every create and edit is written to a tamper-evident chain, not just an audit column.
